Mission

Every year in September since 2014, Team Kimlee’s mission is to spread awareness of ovarian cancer, as September is billed as Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month.
It’s very important that if spouses, partners, significant others, and even friends see if something is not right with their loved one, recommend they get checked out by a doctor. In this age where health insurance and medicine may be less affordable and difficult to obtain, it’s even more important we check our bodies to make sure we are as healthy as possible.

 

Symptoms of ovarian cancer are:

• Abdominal bloating or swelling
• Quickly feeling full when eating
• Weight loss
• Discomfort in the pelvic area
• Fatigue
• Back pain
• Changes in bowel habits, such as constipation
• A frequent need to urinate

To continue spreading ovarian cancer awareness, Team Kimlee participates in various ovarian cancer run/walk events.
